Design ingestion, reconciliation, and delivery pipelines for institutional data. You'll work at the intersection of messy vendor feeds and the clean, auditable outputs our clients stake decisions on. dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and a lot of SQL.

Own the platform layer — cloud architecture, CI/CD, observability, and developer tooling. You'll keep our deploy pipeline fast, our alerts meaningful, and our infrastructure costs honest. AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog.

Craft the interfaces for Trace, Clad, and client-facing dashboards. You care about type safety, loading states, and the difference between "works" and "feels right." React, TypeScript, and a sharp eye for detail.

Set technical direction across Semperr's product suite. You'll drive architecture decisions, mentor senior engineers, and ensure our systems scale without losing the simplicity that makes them reliable. Deep experience in distributed systems required.

Lead a team of 4–6 engineers building Trace and internal tooling. You'll run sprint cycles, remove blockers, and keep the bar high on code quality — while still reading every PR yourself. People management with deep technical fluency.

Write the services behind Trace's data pipeline and Clad's document engine. You'll design APIs, optimize queries, and own your deployments. Python, PostgreSQL, and a preference for boring technology that works.

Build and deploy the models that power classification, anomaly detection, and document extraction in Trace. You'll work closely with data engineers and clients to ship ML that earns trust — not hype. Python, PyTorch, strong fundamentals.

Own application security, access controls, and compliance posture across all Semperr products. You'll run pen tests, review auth flows, and build the tooling that keeps client data safe. SOC 2, OAuth, and a healthy paranoia.

Build the iOS and Android experiences for Trace — portfolio views, alerts, and the daily snapshot clients check before their first meeting. React Native, native modules where it matters, and a feel for mobile-first design.

Define and execute testing strategy across Trace and Clad — integration tests, regression suites, and the edge cases no one else thinks about. You'll automate what should be automated and catch what automation misses. Playwright, Pytest.

Turn raw financial data into the clean, defensible outputs our clients present to their boards. You'll build dashboards, write validation logic, and flag anomalies before they reach a deliverable. SQL, Python, and relentless attention to detail.

Model risk factors, build forecasting tools, and develop the quantitative methods behind Trace's analytics layer. You'll work directly with clients to understand what decisions the data needs to support. R or Python, statistics, and clear communication.

Own the transformation layer between raw ingestion and client-facing reporting. You'll build and maintain dbt models, define metrics, and make sure every number in Trace ties back to a source. dbt, SQL, Snowflake.

Keep Trace and Clad running at the uptime our clients expect — which is all of it. You'll define SLOs, build runbooks, tune alerts, and lead incident response when things go sideways. On-call rotation, Kubernetes, Datadog.

Harden our AWS environment, manage IAM policies, and automate compliance controls. You'll work with engineering and the security team to keep our infrastructure locked down without slowing anyone down. AWS, Terraform, CIS benchmarks.

Design the workflows, components, and information architecture for Trace and Clad. You'll go from research to high-fidelity prototypes and ship alongside engineers. Figma, systems thinking, and a portfolio that shows you sweat the details.

Bridge design and engineering — build production UI components, prototype interactions, and maintain our design system. You write real code and have real opinions about spacing, motion, and type. React, CSS, Figma.

Own the day-to-day relationship with a portfolio of institutional clients. You'll coordinate deliverables, surface feedback to the product team, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. Organized, responsive, and comfortable in financial services.

Support onboarding, data intake, and ongoing client requests across Trace accounts. You'll be the first line of communication when a client has a question — and the person who makes sure it gets answered correctly and quickly.

Run the San Francisco office — vendor relationships, supplies, events, and the hundred small things that make a workspace feel like it works. You'll keep the physical environment as well-organized as our codebase.

Schedule interviews, manage candidate pipelines, and keep our (intentionally small) hiring process running smoothly. You'll work directly with hiring managers and be the first impression candidates have of Semperr.

Handle billing, vendor management, internal documentation, and process improvement across the firm. You'll keep the operational backbone of a 12-person company running without bureaucracy. Detail-oriented and self-directed.

Support the founding partners with scheduling, travel, meeting prep, and communication. You'll manage competing priorities with discretion and keep two very busy people focused on the work that matters most.
